Paper to Screen Creative Writing & Animation Design Workshop

Tuesday 14th – Saturday 18th April 2020

Are you:

  • – Aged between 7 – 17 years old
  • – Imaginative and bursting to bring ideas and stories to life?

If you’re interested in African culture or learning an African language using creative writing and animation?

Then this is for you!

This Easter holiday, CultureTree launches the Paper to Screen creative writing and animation design workshop – in partnership with the British Library, University of Westminster and support from the Mayor of London’s Culture Seeds.

This is an exciting opportunity for ten budding writers and animators between the ages of 7 and 17 to join us for 5 days on 14th – 18th April 2020.

During the 5 days, participants will be working with highly experienced script writers, animators and producers to create an animated story in Yoruba about the courageous Queen Moremi, a 12th century African Queen.

To apply, click here . You will need to provide a short video (max one minute) telling us about your favourite book and why you would like to participate in this project.

Application deadline: 6pm, 27th March 2020

Spaces are limited so apply early!
